Dr. Candice Mowbray's in-depth study of the classical guitar combines with genuine enthusiasm and years of experience as a college classroom lecturer to present talks that are engaging as well as informative. Dr. Mowbray has presented lectures for the Guitar Foundation of America Convention, International Guitar Competition "Ida Presti," Berklee School of Music, Philadelphia Classical Guitar Festival, Guitar Society of Toronto, Maryland Symphony Orchestra "Let's Talk Music" series, Ibero-American Guitar Festival at the Smithsonian Museum of the American Indian, Bethlehem Guitar Festival, Charlottesville Guitar Festival, Kreykenbaum Lecture Series, Performing and Visual Arts Northwest, John E. Marlow Guitar Series, Rock Star Jam, universities, public schools and libraries. Giving insights into historic and artistic context as well as technical aspects of music, she has given pre-concert lectures for renowned performers including Berta Rojas, Jason Vieaux, Sharon Isbin with Chris Brubeck, Alvaro Pierri and Antigoni Goni.
